I haven't bought it or played it, even for free online, but keeping in mind the pricing of the appstore it does seem relatively overpriced for what it offers. All this is subjective and if we weren't used to getting really great games for $.99 or free, this discussion would be over, but I suspect this game will end up at 99 cents eventually.

Compared to some other games You can play for hours (or as long as the battery allows)? - No.
But than again... not compared to other games, judged only by it's style and fun - Yep! It's a game with character and style - and I'm playing it every day for a few minutes - just wouldn't choose this one for a lonely island. |

Personally, I think Doodle Jump is a lot more fun to play. It gives you more to do, it's less repetitive, the app is updated frequently with new features, there are online scoreboards, a challenge mode, an options menu, and it's only $0.99. And what does Canabalt have? Some birds and a lot of jumping... for 3 times the price... |
