Again, the comparison to Kick-Ass is illuminating.
Yeah, I've played very few movie games that actually stood out. King Kong, The Warriors, iZombieland, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Batman Begins (despite a lack of content) are a few, but there aren't many more. Other than that, movie games seem to range from mediocre (Iron Man 2, The Bourne Supremacy from what I've seen) to downright awful (Kick-A__, Dragonball Evolution, Street Fighter: The Movie). Unfortunately, the majority are pretty lame, so unless it looks like a fantastic game, I avoid them.

That said, I enjoy this game to a degree, but Gameloft really could have done much, much better with this if they weren't trying to get this out around the movie's release date.

That pretty much sums it up; I'm pretty sure that the corporate mandate was to keep this one on schedule and under budget.

On a sidenote, the The Warriors is one of my favorite PSP games, period. But that was more Rockstar's homage to a beloved movie than a form of cross-marketing -- the film had already been out for almost 30 years, after all. I'm sure they took their time with it and spared no expense to make it a great game.

They do price drops during holiday seasons but only for their games that didn't sell well or their older titles. Never any of their new games or games that sell well. (and I am betting just because this is Iron Man it is going to sell well...)

E.T. Was the best movie game ever! Don't forget to add that to your list.

I have no idea how people say this game sucks. It's amazing! especially flying around the city and stuff. I love how you can pick up the cars and stuff, I only wish that there were a few different looking cars and such. Oh and for those that say the graphics suck, if they had the graphics as good as they did in GT racing or whatever your comparing it to, it would have run much slower on the lower end devices. They need the slightly worse graphics because it's a huge city instead of just small enclosed levels. The controls are perfect! I'm glad that they put the normal sensitivity to middle instead of that being the top sensitivity like BIA2. All in all I give this game a 4.5/5! One of Gamelofts better games!

EDIT: Oh and does anyone know how to contact Gameloft about suggestions for the games they have already put out?

Yeah, that's what I think ruins most movie games. If they had the available time and money, like The Warriors (which was insane, even though I didn't play it too much... too bad the XBLA one wasn't as good), I think that most movie games could really be great games. Unfortunately, they usually are rather low-budget and have to be released close to the movie's release (usually before), so they don't have the time to add some features and tweak others. Again, it's too bad, since I think that a lot of games have the potential to be great (with a movie license like Kick-A__, I really don't get how they screwed that one up like that), while others were just doomed from the start (E.T.).

And Osmiral, I think the best way to contact them is through Twitter. From what I hear, they answer most user feedback pretty quickly.

Actually, after seeing the GameSpot interview with the lead designer of Frozen Codebase, I think I have a pretty good idea what happened -- the guy comes across like a serious tool.

Maybe we'll get a good Iron Man game after the movie. Just like Arkham Asylum was really good but came out long after The Dark Knight,

What interview is that? I tried to find it on Youtube but wasn't getting any results.

Btw, it looks like their games range from generall y mediocre (Metalocalypse Dethgame) to absolute crap (Kick-A__). And it also seems that they have a habit of ruining great license opportunities.
