App description: Bounce a ball through 40 levels of a giant machine in a unique steampunk inspired puzzle experience.

1.1 Gameplay: http://ind.ustri.es/11
Trailer: http://ind.ustri.es/trailer

Use your wits in combination with pieces of the machine that speed you up, slow you down or blow you clear across a level as you guide the ball through the depths of the machine.

Backlash features a highly-detailed environment, challenging levels, crisp artwork and realistic artwork wrapped in a challenging single-player experience. Try to outsmart the machines internal security system as you figure out the least amount of bounces to the goal in Challenge Mode or learn the levels at your own pace and have fun messing around in the aptly named Free Play.

Thanks for posting this up!

If anyone really, really wants to play and will honor us with a review, I'll see about getting some promotional codes out, just send me a PM and I'll reply in the AM!

I'll have a gameplay video up soon, there was an incident involving whiskey this weekend that slightly delayed it.

I picked it up and like the look of the game and the music. However the play mechanics confuse me. Are you suppose to be able to touch and move the ball around? I played over 20 levels and on many of the levels I could just drag the ball over to the goal without having to flick it. I am playing this on the iPad if that makes a difference. Other levels I could move the ball close to the goal and then flick it. It made the game really easy.

You're suppose to be able to touch the ball and flick your finger in the direction you want the ball to go (lifting up your finger of course). You then bounce it around the level to get it into the goal, keeping it under 5 bounces in challenge mode.

We haven't tested it on an iPad, I'll do that later today and see what's going on.

It's also supposed to have a limiter in it to prevent a player from dragging it to the goal but still allow a little bit of movement in the beginning to position it - don't know why that isn't working correctly on the iPad. Thanks for the heads up.

Some people have been questioning how to move the ball, it's kind of a gentle flick/glide - then it releases and bounces. When you touch the ball a little gold ring appears, letting you know you have hold of the ball, then you just glide and release in the direction you want it to go.

We're working on an update now to deal with being able to drag it a little TOO far - and I'll post updates on our progress with that (of all time for our designer to take a vacation!)

By all means pick up the game and give it a try, it's still a good time and we'll see about addressing that issue ASAP.

Any other impressions/suggestions, we're all ears. Thanks!
