Hexius - Frantic puzzle game from Phasic Labs

Hi all,
I'm a developer at Phasic Labs, and I thought I'd share some screenshots and videos from our first iPhone game, Hexius, which is due to be submitted to the App Store soon.

Hexius is a very fast paced puzzle game, with 2 main game modes, Time Attack, and Endless.
Facebook Connect is supported so you can enter weekly score challenges with your friends, as well as compare your friends' all-time high scores.

If you want to see some screenshots, plus videos from the latest beta version, have a look here :

I highly recommend you watch the videos, as the still screenshots really don't give a clear picture of the game.

If you want to know more, here is a preview written by a friend who is currently beta testing the game :

If you want to find out more about the rules, please take a look at this video of the in-game tutorial :

Thanks for reading!

I've just started looking into OpenFeint, so I'll decide when I know more about it's features.

Hi Howlingwolf - we currently have Facebook Connect integrated, so you can compete against your friends' scores, and post new high scores to your Facebook feed etc.
One thing we have going using Facebook Connect is weekly score challenges, where the score tables are reset each week. This has proved very popular during the private beta, and it would be something that we would want OpenFeint to support. I'm not currently sure if it is possible to do timed challenges in OpenFeint, but I'm looking into it.

Glad you like it!
I totally understand what you are saying about Facebook friends with iPhones.
I've just emailed OpenFeint developer support to see if we can still do weekly score challenges. It doesn't look like it's currently possible, but they should be able to add this feature.
If it's not possible right away, then this is definitely something that could be added to the game via an update.

The developers at OpenFeint have replied, and while they don't directly support what we need, there may be a way to bend their system to do something very similar, so I'll be developing it soon.
I will probably come back to recruit some beta testers for the changes, if there are a lot of OpenFeint users here...

Hi all,
Just thought I'd let you know that Hexius has now been submitted for approval at the App Store.
All being well, it should hopefully be in the store in the next few weeks...

Oh, and we've created a new promo video :
