Default Supertanks - anyone try?

The developer is also working on a HUGE update, that has been taking a mysteriously long time to unveil itself...

A couple months ago the dev posted:

Quote:
thanks your attention .
the current SuperTank has 8 maps and missions . the game control has been changed to free shoot with a collimator . and alot of UI changed
you will find it is a tank game killer in iPhone store

i am doing the test with the OS3.0 test. and adjust the final parameter , for example how many enemy can attack you at the same time. and the run speed, bullet fly speed, missile fly speed and power etc.

Please give me more time to do the test, i did not want to release a tinpot tank game

and also you can see some test maps pictures i send in the website. but the picture is captured about 1 month ago http://iphogame.com/mapstmp/

Anyone wanna test-drive it? The only thing I'm Leary about is the app description makes it seem as though forward/back tilt is only accel. And reverse option therefore I can only assume w/o tilt calibration this has to be played device flat.

If no one bites, what's another couple bucks I'm @ about 50 buck the past week and a half.

Looks fun, hoping someone tests it out and lets us know. My wish list is too long to take the plunge right now....

Nice graphics, and large textured play-field. Decent movement controls.

I have tried accessing the developers web-site, to no avail. There are no instructions in association with on screen buttons. This one inclusion, I'm sure, would have made my introduction into the game enjoyable instead of frustrating.

There are three different tank types which is your only pre-game option. They have different statistics(attack, speed, and armor). Control of the tank movement is a "gas pedal" on your bottom left and left/right tilt controls. No reverse that I can figure out.

Now the really frustrating; shooting. I can randomly get my machine to shoot bullets, but for the life of me I cannot reproduce it. I have pored over the appstore description a multitude of times and it says you can lock on a target and shoot, or shoot free form. Not in my simple world! If you stop your tank from moving, then left/right tilt rotates the turret, I aim it straight at an enemy tank, press shoot-nothing. I've tried holding shoot, holding, let go and tap, you name it I've failed at it.

There is a no2 for speed burst, and a health bay for replenishing armor and energy fuel etc..

The game description says collaborative heli-tank attacks, I've not been able to produce that either.

I would really like to know how to contact the developers, as this game is dripping with awesome potential, but I don't know if the games final appstore build has bugs, or if I simply need "walked through" the UI(I have tried every imaginable possible push., tap etc...

As is a 1 to 2 star app, so I'll hold off reviewing until I can hopefully reach a representative of iPhoGame.

Btw, I think this qualifies me as a guest member of TOFTT!
