Dead Space by EA Mobile - Releasing 25th January

Quote:
...Dead Space publisher EA released an updated version of its blockbuster title release schedule (via Shacknews), seemingly confirming that Dead Space 2 is headed to the PC. Interestingly, it also includes a mention of the iterative title hitting "handheld / mobile"
.
.
.
Of course there's a chance by "handheld / mobile" EA only means a PSP release. It's also possible the publisher would go Droid instead of iPhone or iPad. To be frank that doesn't seem likely from a business standpoint, but we feel the need to throw in the caveat regardless

This is the first we've heard of Dead Space 2 hitting a mobile platform, so naturally there's no details — and there's still a possibility that this project could get scrapped either before it gets off the ground or even after it does. We'll ask a few questions and try to get some answers. In the meantime, keep thinking those happy thoughts. You know, the ones that star big multi-armed monsters? Those. Think those thoughts.

I was pretty sure this was going to happen sooner or later. I was expecting Extraction to come to the app store.

Invaders Must Die.

Wow... I know it's not official yet, but even consideration of something like this is pretty impressive.

Like everyone else, though, I'm not going to get excited for this until we get details that the project is still ongoing.

seriously?

Ive been wanting a deadspace or deadspace-like
(or deadspace clone if made by Gameloft) since Christmas.

It would be awesome to cut up freaky seizure zombies
with the iphone/ipodtouch touch controls

Considering the fact that Dead Space 2 is my most anticipated title ever, I could only dream of it on the iPhone as well. However, after playing Zombie Infection it doesn't seem too far-fetched. I want more information, though, possibly a confirmation.

Hopefully it'll get confirmed soon, I wouldn't mind if it was on-rails like Doom was. But it would be pretty awesome if it was like Zombie Infection just a little bit more linear.
