Well the way I count is Avengers is my favourite super hero movie while Dark Knight is my favourite comic book movie. They are quite different genres and I wouldnt classify nolanverse as Superhero.

Nolan is just a producer on that movie (I think he shares story credits with David Goyer). Zack Snyder is doing the actual directing.

It depends on how you look at it, in the Nolan movies everything is as grounded as possible, but Batman is still a guy who can beat up multiple armed opponents (like the climax of TDK where he had to take down henchmen, SWAT police, hostages, dogs AND the Joker, and still had to jet across town to resolve a hostage situation).

Really? It has been some time since I've looked into the Superman movie and I thought he was directing. The last I read about Superman was when Goyer left the project to do Godzilla.

I'm a little late to seeing this (had finals ), but I just saw Cabin in the Woods and it was awesome. The Left 4 Dead reference was pretty cool to see :P
