Usually I'd agree that dlc can make one feel like they've brought an incomplete game and to truly get the most out of it, pay out a lot of extra cash. Forunately, the dlc offered by this dev is very much an optional extra, before the flamethrower was released there was plenty of strategy available, IMO the extra weapons are a novelty bonus and a great way for fans of the game to show support to the developers. You don't need to buy the dlc to enjoy it, there's an extraordinary amount of stuff to do as it is.

I'd say go for it... If you're unsure and haven't played this game before, I think there's still a free iPhone version "tower madness zero".... iPad version is sooo much better though

But how good it is compared to other tower dfense games? I never played a full game of tower defense but tried demo and lite versions and found many rather fun. I'm very hesitant on which one choose.

Thanks to point it but I had already tried this demo too, a little bit. Well I have so many games to play more that I'll delay more the exploration of this genre.

aside from Crystal Defenders, I've tried all the TD games and with the possible exception of GeoDefense, this game is the best. Both GD and TM have great gameplay (different but great). The only difference is TM updates with new maps all the time which puts it over the top. I had all the TD games on my touch, and side getting the iPad, only TM has been brought over. I even double dipped to get the HD version because of the DLC and the prospect of playing future maps in HD.

This game is still worth it, sale or not! It's by far the best game I have on my iPad and the DLC is awesome (I have all of it)! Please, please, please add more towers and DLC! There are lots of people that will buy any DLC you release If you're doubting yourself about getting this game, get it now!

Great game! Would easily still pay $7.99 to buy it. Games with prices higher than 99 cents, etc. help fuel devs to make more games that dont' look and play like 99 cent games.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. We're glad you've enjoyed our updates so far and we're excited about the upcoming updates we have planned for the iPhone and iPad versions of TowerMadness!
