I tried the lite out earlier. I found the game to be mediocre. Not bad but nothing special.

Now Playing: iStunt 2, Monster Trouble, Zombie Runaway, Stylish Sprint, Grim Joggers, Holy Moly Dragons, Fight Night Champion, NBA Jam, Rat On a Skateboard, Puzzle Quest 2, Jungool, Super Stick Golf, Smoody, Gravity Guy.

I tried the lite. It's not a bad game, but it has two major faults that I've seen. One, the special skills are activated by tapping anywhere on the screen besides the controls. This means if you tap just to the side of one of the two thumbsticks, you end up using your skill - really easy to do since you don't always want to be firing your weapon (which means lifting your thumb off the stick) - since there is reloading involved (though unlimited clips), you need to be wary of when you're about to run out. I think a skill button would be better, or at the very least, make the active area for the skill smaller so it's not near any other controls.

The second problem is that every time you switch weapons, it reloads the weapon you switch to, even if it already had ammo in it - that's just ridiculous.

Outside of these two issues, gameplay is pretty standard for DS shooters. Graphics are a bit different - a nice flash/cel shaded style almost. Monsters look pretty weird - can't even tell what some of them are. Sound/music are decent, not exceptional. The nice thing is there are a good number of things to upgrade (your character, your weapons, your skills) and buy (weapons, skills).

I've found yet another hidden gem using Genius.

Of all the dual stick shooters I've played, this is up near the top of my list of most fun. After playing the lite version I'm very impressed with the style of the game. I will definitely be getting the full version soon.

Oh well then I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, because I can't put the game down.
