Its like Cartoon Wars / Castle Wars but the units are drawn up a lot smoother and the battle animations are neat looking. Main factor is that you can press the leader button and build a unit and then take control of it. They don't move on a fully 2d plane. It is semi isometric so you can sneak by enemy units. The leader ats a somewhat action feel to the game.

For a dollar game it seems pretty worthwhile and will more tahn likely suck up some time. The music and sound effects are pretty fitting. They are full of guitar rifts and pew pew blaster noises.

As it boasts Online Leaderboards, does one get a score in this game or do you just endlessly level up and the Leaderboard just shows relative experience totals? Can it end or does being wiped out just mean restarting the last level?

Impressions of the lite version are mixed. On one hand it's a simple unit spawning game where you win with spamming. On the other hand there are a ton of units to unlock and upgrade, plus I'm really digging the music.

Oh and there's another game called destroy9 in which you play as the humans and you can control the robots. Impressions of lite coming soon

If I had to choose the alien version or the regular version, I'd go with the regular game. While it's more ambiguous than the alien version, it has a leader mode where you can control one of your units and attack the enemy. It's quite addicting to actually blast the enemy rather than just watch.

*Bump

A very nice freebie for those who aren't aware of its existence. Try it out and see!

For the developer:

Could you possibly add a mission select screen so we could play past missions if we wished? Also maybe add a little description screen for each unit so we can know what each are.

The Alien version needs 4.0. Why? Is there a reason not to support 3.x?

Games tested/testing: Arcane Clash, Trainyard, Zenses, Gravity Runner
