'Secret of Mana' - Square Enix [Releasing in december]
Quote:
Details are sketchy on this one, but besides Final Fantasy Tactics, it appears Square Enix is also delivering Secret of Mana to the iPhone. The above/right photo by @rpgfancom.
Secret of Mana is an action role-playing game that was originally released in 1993. The game was re-released for Wii in 2008 and ported to Japanese mobile phones in 2009.

The hits keep on coming. Wonder if it will be closer to the Wii version or the one on mobile -- or whether there's really that much of a difference.

One of my best SNES games, brought to the iPhone... Gotta love that. I literally yelled when I saw that it was coming. It's one of my favorite SNES games, right behind games like Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy III, and Earthbound, and seeing it being ported to the iPhone is something I think any RPG fan with an iDevice wanted to see.
That said, I hope that they eventually port Sword of Mana as well. I've played very few games as much as I've played Sword of Mana, and seeing that ported would be insane.

I really hope it ends up being closer to the wii version. I also hope Square decides to bring the Secret of Evermore to the iphone. That was one of Squares other good action games with RPG elements. I used to love how your dog would change depending on the world the main character was currently in.

Spent so much time going after the 9th weapon orbs on SNES. Can't wait.
