How does this one compare to the quality and control of Gianna Sisters ? I am super picky about controls for a platformer and prefer playing them with a physical control pad for obvious reasons.

I've never played Gianna Sisters, so I can't really compare. Overall quality seems to be good, but with a couple issues for me. The biggest being the camera which makes me nauseated with it's panning left and right. It needs some work. The other issue was with the directional controls. You have to lift your thumb up and put it down to register turning left and right. I kept wanting to slide my thumb across between the left and right buttons, but it wouldn't let me. Seems like a pretty good game for a buck, but if these two things were fixed, I think it would be a huge improvement.

Yeah the controls is a disappointment...should have been able to slide your thumbs left and right...a control stick wouldn't be a bad option. Also there doesn't seem to be any penalty for dying. Wish there was a harder mode or something where you had a certain amount of lives per level. It feels like it's stuck on easy mode at the moment. I'm only on the 4th level, maybe it'll get more challenging. Other than that, graphics are nice and clean, music is ok, and it's a good start for a platformer from what I've played.

Agimat updated the iphone version this week:
- Added 2 flavors of difficulty: Chewable (Easy) and Jawbreaker (Skilled)
- Get extra lives when you've collected enough candies
- Enemies in Jawbreaker mode are faster and will go after you!
- Jump and Falls refined. You can now counter-act move directions during fall and perform jumps
- Changed D-pad to a Move Slider. No more multiple tappings. Just slide throughout the game!
- Flippable Horizontal Orientation (turn your device to your convenience)
- Added an option to mute level music under the Config menu
- Nunchucks limitations when used to hit an enemy
- Added effects on enemies reacting to weapon hits

and they said that they are working on the new version for the ipad
(so I hope to see those improvements soon)
