It wasn't announced for iPad, only iPhone.

Space Invaders HD is going to be their first iPad game and it's sales will determine if they will bring other apps over. Doesn't mean it can't happen but don't go getting your hopes up just yet

Well, I was just saying because the TA article was listed under "iPad" too... but yeah, I could be wrong.

More of a Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move man myself.

I'm kind of concerned that they are using Space Invaders to test the iPad waters. There are numerous reasons that it might not sell and cause Taito to write off the iPad in favor of sticking with just the iPhone.

Bubble Bobble is an all time classic! I still play it every now and then on MAME.

cant quite manage the feats of getting to level 50 without dying like we used to back in the day though (there were special bonuses available for getting to level 20,30,40 and 50 without losing a single life).

This will make an awesome addition to the app store and the best is they have to include the multiplayer element!

The game wasnt completeable on your own even if you beat the superdrunk on level 100, it used to loop back loads of stages and tell you to use the power of your friends! I.E. make sure 2 players are playing!
