How are levels set up?

Is there a scoring system?

Well it definitely looks interesting, but I will wait just a little more until some bugs are fixed, like rolling against an obstacle

Rolling against obstacle isn't a bug. In pre-release versions if you landing near obstacle or a wall character does Landing Technique - like a Frog position, it looks more real, but it was annoying twitching movement.

Roll is smoother and makes character keep running!
No need to stop and accelerate again, like Landing.

In a fact you don't even will notice that while playing.

Game Impressions

Hi, thanks again for the PROMO code!

So Ive been playing iTraceur for some Time. OR rather say try to play it. To some point the controls feel unresponsive. I dont mean that you have to wait for the animation to finish. Jumping up is also perfect example here. Like I really cannot tell why the character is jumping straight up or sidewards when I EXACTLY the same buttons (both up) in the same way. Sometimes he does jumps sometimes not.
Its the timing you have to hit the buttons in to keep things flowing. It feels really odd.

Also Double Tap to freeze the screen and look around is a nice thing but in the end falls into the same unpredictablility category like the straight jump up.

Maybe you like to think about an optional gesture control scheme. That would be cool.

Other than that I really like the flavor of it all.
Natural Animation, minimalistic but really fitting graphics. And the 'levels' are so HUUUUUUGE!!!
Also the gameplay pacing is well made.
The Parallax 3D is really amazing to behold, giving the game a real good sense of depth, heights and parkours running.

cheers

dyscode, thanks for sharing your impressions!
The key point is that you don't need to "hit" buttons, just hold them.
iTraceur is more for relax then for hardcore buttons kill =)

I hope that a little more practice will help you to fully control jumping direction and you will like this controls.

Also it may be helpful to use bigger buttons or custom setup of their placement. Just go to Options->Controls->Customize and feel free to drag them anywhere!

Here's two useful buttons setup:
1) 4 buttons: Up/Down, Right/Left

2) Crazy set for playing with only one finger:
http://www.twitvid.com/MROML

But i recommend you to play with standard buttons (maybe with bigger size), because after some training you just will not notice anything about them.

We're always thinking about different control schemes, like gestures in Mirrors Edge for iPad, standard d-pad, d-pad with two additional buttons ( jump up/down), floating d-pad, etc...

In next versions, maybe, we will change double tap to Eye Button or give player ability to choose button/double tap if more players will ask for this.

Stay tuned!
