After 85 turns, the barbarians attack. Will your empire withstand their assault, or will your enemies smash it into rubble?

I have been testing this. It works well, good implementation on the device. Play is turn-based, so it plays at the speed you do, I'm not sure a video would give more information than screenshots. If anyone who buys it has questions or comments I will do my best to answer or pass them on.

I grabbed it immediately assuming it is a direct port of the famous PC/Mac game.

On reflection, it would be nice to have a gameplay video that would illustrate how it works. But I don't think I have the right stuff to make one. How do most people make iPad videos, anyway?

The game is played in scenarios. Each scenario you have a limited amount of time (usually 85 turns) to explore a 10x10 desert which contains cities, mountains, and an oasis containing an obelisk. At the end of your time, barbarians attack the desert cities and possibly the obelisk. Your goal is to discover the obelisk and organize the defense of the desert cities to defeat the barbarians. It is turn based so each "move" you make consumes one time unit. A move could be exploring a space, building a road between cities, building a mine in certain mountain spaces, exploring a discovered city looking for items or advisors that will help your defense.

There is a pretty good tutorial built into the game.

I have a connection with the authors but I'm not involved in making the game myself.

I've played through three worlds so far and I'm enjoying it. Elements of exploration, deduction, decision-making, and resource management are combined in interesting ways to create an innovative game. Tons of worlds, levels, and difficulty levels too.

So far, i'm pretty impressed and it takes a lot seeing that i go through tons of apps for reviews for work. cool gameplay as mentioned by the above posters. Think of it as minesweeper but with more strategy.
