1. Construct a path from the start to the finish leaving one square from it, like in the screenshot (you need not construct a straight path like in the screenshot - any way you want)
![]() 2. When the fieldrunners seem like they are escaping, pause the game. Remove a tower at the beginning of the path. Close the path at the end where the fieldrunners are escaping with another tower. Like in the screenshot, the fieldrunners are forced to go the other way. ![]() 3. If the fieldrunners come close to the beginning of the path where there is a way out, do Step 2 the other way. This didn't work so well as I constructed a straight path. But with longer and twisted paths, you can trap the fieldrunners for as long as you want. Last edited by Vikram; 03-01-2009 at 08:55 AM.. Reason: A bit more detail. |

7 lives at round 25 isn't good.

I know! But I just played to demonstrate how the cheat was done. I've gone up to level 100 with 20 lives in Crossroads (Medium difficulty)!

this is already a known technique called the 'endless maze'.

Yea but if you do that cheat it's well. Cheating. I don't use it.

It's not cheating - it is creative use of available resources.
While it is useless against airborne if you can get this going soon enough you rake the cash in to then point firepower upwards. |

Actually this was my brother's idea. I don't like using this technique either. Some may find it interesting though.

riceman is right. This is not a cheat at all. That technique is often the only way to 'stop' the onslaught on higher levels of mazeable TD's and is used fairly often. You don't have to enter anything or to glitch your way around anything, etc. it's just using the game mechanics to your advantage, hence no cheat at all.
In a fixed TD you can not depend on such cheap tactics and that is the reason why i like fixed TD's over mazeable one's in general... |
