RPG games

Is Vay the only j-rpg out there?
Will we ever have FF, Golden Sun, Dragon Quest, etc?

There is a new one called Perilar for 4.99. It's not really that polished in terms of graphics (old school and retro). The text below is also rather distracting and the gameplay is rather limited. I wouldn't recommend it. I'm afraid the top games you mentioned above probably won't be released for the ipod/iphone until the price cap on apps is broken (it's currently 9.99 maybe EA will break that with NFS for something like 20 maybe?). With lots of developers, artists, musicians etc needed, it will be expensive to make a game and unprofitable (or it will take too long to break even and then make a profit) to charge only 9.99 for it.

I personally think Perilar isn't better than Vay - both are ok. Vay could be much better if they craft all the menu, the sidebar, etc so it gives a better overall feeling.

Vay is a port of a Sega CD game from the early 90s. Look on Google. Any walkthrough you find for the original should work.

What I've learned from playing Super Monkey Ball, is that monkeys, in a ball, fall at a speed of 263 mph, on average.

You might want to take a look at Loot Wars, its not really an RPG but it has the most fun aspect of it (IMO): item collection/stealing/upgrading/trading.

The fact thats is all-multiplayer makes it super entertaining.

Pezdad, "Definetely a new (updated) translation, nicely done. There are some gameplay differences from the Sega version, so the old walkthroughs on the net are of limited use (just an FYI)."

Don't even compare that poor excuse of an app to Vay, just read the comment section when arn announced the game. The dev also has a charisma of a turd, with all due respect to the turd.

Perilar makes me sad. It's so terrible and it looks terrible to match. Don't compare that piece of crap to Vay which is good.
