stupid question: Why is Tap Tap Revenge 2 Free?

Not that I'm complaining, but curious on why a deep game like this is free and not other games? Is it because of the ads incorporated or any kind of spyware installed?

besides ads... I think they might even cut deals with artists to feature their songs... but that's just a guess. I don't know how it works and didn't play the original that much.

Hmmm interesting, I'm sure they can make a lot of money additionally if they put it up for a couple of bucks, but not as much exposure though

Besides getting money from the ad's.. I also think the popularity they gain from this (just like the original) will increase their sales of their paid versions. And with the new gaming engine to work with I'm sure more paid versions are to come

tap tap dance was worth it at the time, wish they added about 10 more songs to make it more worthwhile
tap tap 2 is outstanding, but crashed twice on me even with a restart
good app hope nn update comes in a week or so to stabilize and smooth things out

I think that's part of it.. they gain notoriety with their engine, get tracks for packaged for-sale versions (Tap Tap Dance, Tap Tap Band X, Y, Z etc..) and hopefully ride the success of the free version into the paid versions.
