PROMO Codes for "Frantic"

Hello everyone, here are some promo codes for "Frantic." The game plays similar to the old arcade hit Smash TV (one of my favorite games as a kid). I developed it alone and have no money for advertising, so I really need people to review it, lol. Thanks for taking the time to play, please let me know what you think...

Hmm, I love dual stick shooters so I will give it a try using T4WNFMMN6RRL, thanks. I'll also leave you a review if it's any good!

All gone. Bummer. Missed them. And I loved Smash TV!!! "I looove it."

I've been away for awhile, but I'm back.

Game Impressions

I like it, there are some fun ideas but it is still a bit rough with somewhat jerky animation and everything moving the basic 8 directions. While there is a little randomization in the enemy spawns, the room layouts are very scripted and sometimes present the player with some interesting layouts/unique challenges to conquer. The weapon spawns, however, are very random with a pretty big variety with some cool twists like Spike Guns.

As far as I can tell the character you choose doesn't really have any effect on play other than your animations and death sounds (speaking of which the female character's death scream is way too loud compared to the rest of the game's sounds).

So to sum up, while definitely a junior league league effort, it is still pretty fun.

Thanks for feedback

Thanks for the feedback and thanks to everyone who tried/reviewed the game with the codes. I don't have any more at the moment but there is a lite version of Frantic out now too for anyone interested. Thanks again!

Gave this a try and it's a good start but it's light on the polish. Something that annoyed me was that it's very obvious you can only face 8 different directions when you shoot, which means you have to be very deliberate about lining up your shots, so it doesn't have nearly the fluidity of most dual-stick shooters. Also, the UI is pretty ugly, and the graphics aren't very appealing to me either, even on a retro level.

I do like the concept a lot, as I enjoyed Smash TV back in the day, but I'm not sure how this can compete with the multitude of dual stick shooters out there as it is now to be honest. It just needs more fluidity in the gameplay, more graphical flair and a big coat of polish over the whole thing.
