App description: Matmi and the Gorillaz join forces to bring Escape From Plastic Beach, the latest Gorillaz game, to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Reviews:

Inspired by the virtual band Gorillaz and album Plastic Beach, Gorillaz - Escape to Plastic Beach... by Matmi New Media is essentially Glyder with guns, considerably shorter but more structured levels, and a slightly harder visual edge... crashed planes, rough-looking boats, and bombs that need to be dropped on targetfit the bands style just fine.

Jeremy Horwitz - Editor-in-Chief, iLounge.

If you enjoy the Gorillaz universe (and who doesn't?), you'll get a snapshot of entertainment out of the game... it pushes forward the bands' weird narrative and adds yet another layer to their increasingly labyrinthine collection of mediums they dabble in.

By Thorin Klosowski - blogs.westword.com

Youll find yourself smack dab in the middle of hectic battles against ships, planes, and who knows what-else as you swoop, glide, and bank furiously around the visually pleasant 3D environments.

This game should be pulled for being a cheap copy of Glyder as long as all other games from Matmi.

I bought Multiball Pinball on the first day of the iPad and since then, the game does not work and they did not update nor gave us refund.

So, this is a not serious developer. It is said to see Gorillaz making partnership with such type of whatever you want to call them.

Not even for free I would buy any game from them.

i thought glyder doesn't have anything to do with shooting, just flying around through rings and being a hippy?

LOL. I like the hippy comment. But at least Glu had the sense of being original and not copying another game.

ah, i'm more interested in paying for 'fun' than 'originality'. to me, blowing stuff up would be funner than merely flying through rings.

That's fine, mate. With that, I certainly hope this'll be fun.

Edit: after looking at the vid, the sense of speed and the flying thru rings surely makes this just a Glyder rip-off.
