Ultraviolet Dawn HD

Hi Everyone,

We're happy to announce that the HD version of our space-shooter/trading game, Ultraviolet Dawn, is coming soon. Since the iPhone version has already generated quite a bit of discussion and feedback, we're just going to put the screenshots here and quietly leave for now.

Just as a note, the iPad version will include material from the first update for the iPhone version (already submitted to the App Store). While a lot of it is tweaks and adjustments, it adds asteroids, space mines, a mission journal, and more kinds of missions. Asteroids can be mined, too, with a special new laser available.

The iPad version should be released on August 6, if all goes well.

Just a quick heads up that the launch of the HD version will be delayed until at least August 13th since it has been initially rejected by Apple. We have already submitted a fixed version, so hopefully it will be coming soon.

Any chance you could add a save mode, so you don't have to upload it to the leaderboards? Thanks

What will be the price when this is released? Any chance of a promo like the one when the iPhone version came out?

Sorry, can you elaborate on what you mean by "save mode" and how is saving related to leaderboard? It seems those long hours developing the game are taking their toll on our comprehension abilities...

We haven't settled on the final price for the HD version yet, but it will likely be higher than the iPhone version. We're actually planning to have do a simultaneous release of the Lite and the paid version on August 13th (again, if all goes well this time), so while we won't have a similar promo for the full version, you'll still be able to get a lite iPad version of the game and play it for free.

...And the Lite version is out now. The fully paid version is still in review, but you can upgrade the lite version to the full one with an in-app purchase if you choose to.

The first few days are the most important ones for any title, so we need all of your support now! Let's see how far up the charts we can take it - it doesn't cost anything, and would help us get more visibility for future development (which has already started, by the way, it never stops ).

Is the galaxy randomly "spun" each game or is play of the game through the same layout of planets and territories?
