At one of the sites appeared Gameloft Record : Asphalt 6 is coming to Montreal! The Asphalt series has already sold over 15 million copies. To produce Asphalt 6 for the iPhone, Gameloft Montreal (Gangstar, Modern Combat: Sandstorm, Dungeon Hunter) is hiring a new team. Be a part of the legend and help make Asphalt 6 as big a hit as its predecessors! Gameloft is an international developer and publisher of video games for mobile phones and consoles. Founded in 1999 and currently a leader in its sector, Gameloft distributes its games in over 75 countries. www.gameloft.com Developers themselves do not confirm this, but let's hope it's true.
They're hiring a new team? Maybe they'll hire Fruho And if anything, I just hope they improve the takedowns. They really ruined Asphalt 5 for me, seeing as it was supposedly a huge new addition.
Agreed if you want a good racer, if it's street you like, pick up shift or undercover. If you like tracks, check out Real Racing.
I liked asphalt 4 which was good for it's time. Asphalt 5 just sucked. I hated how they made the screenshots on iTunes look amazing then the actual graphics were nothing like that
I hated Asphalt 4, but I like Asphalt 5. Especially now the graphics have been improved for the iPhone 4 and gyroscope controls has been added. Hopefully Gameloft will continue with the Asphalt series, Asphalt 5 was a big improvement and if they are making Asphalt 6 then I think it will be even more amazing.
Gameloft never made a really good racing game. (realistic-ish) Racing games are what Firemint and EA should do.
But not everybody wants a realistic racing game. Real Racing and NFS: Shift are hardly realistic anyway (still lots of fun though). The most realistic by far is GT Racing: Motor Academy, and that was by Gameloft.
Asphalt 4 had bad graphics and controls, but that was really old. Asphalt 5 graphics were better, but still had those annoying "bright colors" and "bloom effect" that is found in every Gameloft game. If they want to add bloom, add it the right way! And how about using softer colors than strange colors that make the graphics seem cartoonish.
No, it should look more like Real Racing. NFS: Shift overall has better graphics than Real Racing, due to the OpenGL ES 2.0 reflections and better textures and buildings, etc, but Real Racing colors and environments have the most realistic colors.
