squarezero's comments:
A 400+ Mb download and at $9.99 half the price of the PSP version.

EDIT:
The Dev has come up with a way to keep fans updated with what happens with the game on the App Store and had the idea for fans to post screenshots with the game moments they have problems with on the game's Official Fan Page http://www.facebook.com/CrimsonGemSaga. Technically you send it over email from your device and then they put it on the fan page to resolve their problems.

EDIT2: Video taken by user Chuck showing battles and some voiceovers. Played on an iPad

Downloading it as we speak, I'm a sucker for old school RPGs - more nostalgia than love I guess, I never put more than a few hours in before giving up.

So yeah, more reasons not to put any work into my own game... like I needed any.

I'm about to watch Mad Men, so it may take me a bit -- sorry! The opening animation is pretty great, though .

Seriously, how many games in the App Store last this long -- never mind getting stale.

Too bad that game will be butchered by the controls.

Back on topic. I've played this game on psp a while back. Pretty solid game, fast transitions.

Here are a few things that stood out:
- Battles are fairly traditional. Sprites animate fairly well during battles and cutscenes
- Story is fairly generic, but enjoyable.
- You need to do a hefty amount of grinding to get anything done.
- Even though there aren't technically any random encounters, the enemies move so fast when they spot you, the encounter rate is high anyways...

I'd say it should be rated around low 70's to high 70's if ya want a score value.
