Doodle Sky is back with REVOLUTIONARY new version!
Doodle sky, a flight control like air combat game, which has extremely beautiful screen and smooth control has come back with its revolutionary new update! Based on the insightful feedbacks from our fans, we made great changes to this game! Now, in this HD version, we have:
1. NO IAP now
2. Taken full advantage of the iPads extra screen resolution. Players dont need to drag the screen to see the whole map by making use of the iPads big screen.
3. Fixed the bug that made the app crash
4. Expanded this game from 15 stages to 40 stages! Not all the stages are only aimed at wiping out enemies, player also need to finish other tasks like sneak attack, escorting VIP and eliminate specific enemies while let others go.
5. Three special aircrafts. Players are given a chance to obtain these aircrafts by clearing special stages.
It is almost a new game! Do not hesitate! Try it now!

Features:
1. Smooth and Sensitive Control.

You could control your plane just by an easy slide on your iPad.
Your plane will fly within the route you assigned. If there is an enemy plane in your range of fire, your plane will shoot automatically. You could also launch missile when you see the "bomb" like symbol on your plane:

Besides, we added an almanac system into this game where you could browse all the aircrafts (yours and enemies).

2. Unique Features.
As many as 8 kinds of planes to choose from, those planes all have their own features. If you are tired of using one plane, then choose another to fight! I specially recommend the UFO! Strong! Fast! OMG, its attack is AOE...

3. Variety of Game Mode.
In this game, your mission is not just to shoot. You also need to protect VIP, to hold your position and some other tasks.

4. Achievement and Rating System
Challenge yourself! Your performance in each level will be recorded and rated by the system. Try your best to reach higher level! There are also many funny titles for you to reach, like:
Protracted Battle: It reminded me that the battle lasted for really long time
Bystander: You just watched the carrier-borne aircraft coming out from the carrier and did nothing.
Tactician: You killed the green hands without launching any missile.

5. Integrate OpenFeint.
With the most popular OpenFeint, you could compare your score with your friends, and communicate with them on social platforms.

One more thing:
Who click the Like button to become of fan of Doodle Sky will have chance to win a big surprise!!!
The promotional time is limited, try it right now!

Rhaa too bad it looks so cool and all the details make you think the gameplay is deep.

EDIT: Ouch I would not believe to have ever wrote that about a doodle game (one more) this doodle is less common.

Mmmm did you really get how the controls work? You trace a path with a swipe and you can't swipe again at the end of the path to continue it. But at any time you can start another path starting from your plane, ie you have a lot of control.

For firing it's auto when a plane is in you fire line. For throwing a rocket you need tap your plane and you have a visual hint when the game suggest you fire a rocket but you aren't forced to use this hint even if it's a clear help.

Few minutes of play amazed me, difficult but a lot more fun than any Fight Control HD. Very tactical also and the slow speed make it even more tactical. But ok the difficulty is rude.

Part of that is intentional, some aircraft can't turn as sharply as others so can't draw a path at sharper angles than the plane can support.

That point is working totally well, and isn't a lack of control, you should not forget that you control only one plane, not a thousand like in usual draw the line games.

I'd say that I played 10 missions, and each was different and with its own little story part of a larger one, just for the mood but well done.

It's definitely a casual game, once you master a mission, for most you make it quickly like 2mn/5mn but some are tougher and could last a lot longer. And the point is that you won't beat many at first try, plus the difficulty rise.

Add to that totally cute graphics, pleasant controls, multiple planes to unlock as the campaign progress, an action more deep than you could think despite it's slow and with only 2 very simple controls, and you get a casual game that really smashed me and hard.

EDIT: Are you sure the different planes you can use have a different sharper turn angle? I think the characteristics of planes are speed, health, fire power, and size those bigger make bigger target for enemy, plus some planes have a very special characteristic and one is special for its turns ability, another for stealth and so on. Ha yes a point that made me smile, you have stealth missions and infiltration missions, lol.

Assuming they carry over these aspects from the iPhone version:

Each of these 40 missions are stand alone with your highscore tracked individually in each (besides tracking your best score, you'll be rated 1-3 stars for each mission you complete). As stated earlier these missions can range all over the place from destroy all in an interestingly arranged setup, an escort mission, or maybe simply surviving in a level with endlessly spawning baddies for a certain period of time. Also if following the same format of the iPhone game you are free to play these missions in any order you choose (you don't need to first unlock them). It's boatloads of fun to re-visit some of the early missions with the much more supped up aircraft you'll unlock later on.

What wasn't made all that clear previously, at least that I could see, is that besides the 40 missions is the Death Match Mode which is simply an Endless Highscore Survival Mode!

I also love how, sort of like Mini-Squadron, each of the planes you can choose play very uniquely (unique stats and special abilities)! There are even some SUPER ships (great stats and very unique powers) that you can unlock by completing certain missions.

In iPad version it's a campaign and the levels need to be unlocked but seriously it's not a problem I think, and there's a logic in missions stories so the order has a meaning. Ok you can be stuck some time on one level but well it's just an action game and a casual, not a puzzle game.

The deathmode requires also to be unlocked, well if you haven't finish or haven't been able to beat the campaign it makes sense but I suppose there will always be some players to complain.

For the levels I'd be surprised if they are really the same than on iphone, I'd feel more they have been adapted to iPad, I quote you don't mention stealth missions or infiltration missions, ie you are unseen during the mission or during the mission you must try stay unnoticed and achieve something inside enemy control area. If really the levels are the same, then I bet the gameplay is different because more than once I used almost all the area ie the full screen of the ipad.

Ohhh. I personally have issues with games that want you to finish the WHOLE campaign to unlock my personal favorite aspect of the game (the Survival Mode). While I can appreciate some effort being required to unlock this mode, it shouldn't require the completion of the full campaign. In my ideal I'd have two Survival Modes. A basic one available right off the bat and a super duper deluxe version that can only be unlocked once you clear the campaign.

I'm assuming with the game being ported to the iPad you won't need to scroll around the map as much since you'll see much more of it at any given moment.
