App description: World Conquest for iPad, iPhone and iPod

Age of Conquest is a medieval risk-like turn-based strategy game where you take the reins of a budding empire and struggle against fellow empires for control of the world. In one game, up to 80 players vie for supremacy, but only one can be victorious. Every game you win pushes up your score, until you don't just dominate the world, but also your fellow players. Then all will be in your shadow and not just peasants, but even kings will worship you! All this can be yours, but only if you triumph.

This full version contains the following game-play options:
- multiple scenarios
- over 100 empires to choose from
- conquer the whole map
- god mode option
- random placement option
- random fill option
- mute sounds

WARNING: For strategy game enthusiasts only! Please try the free Lite version (Age of Conquest Lite) before purchase. Thank you.

Boy, does this look interesting. Downloading the Lite now... I hope it'll live up to my expectations. I need a good strategy game.

New to the whole "age of conquest" franchise.... Was kinda thinking of jumping in.... Wondering if I should start with this, or should I get one of the other ones... Any of them better than the others? Lemmie know....

Well you can always try the lite.

I have all the variations of "risk" and this brand is one of my least favorite. They all play the same with different continents. I found them pretty boring visually and strategically. The one redeeming thing I can mention is that there is a lot more micro than other "risk" variations but that's not always a good thing. Try some others like lux dlx, european war, even the real Risk.

I don't consider this a "risk" clone. It's got a lot more micromanaging, and is a lot more strategic, and a lot more fun.

There's no reason to buy the other versions, though. This one contains ALL the maps, compared to the others which are each just one continent.

I played it a long time ago on the itouch when it went by a different name, and loved it.

Point taken, and I do acknowledge that there is a lot of micromanaging involved but I just found it boring. Different tastes for different people, that's why they have a lite.

Yeah, I can agree that it's definitely not an exciting game. But, as you said, different tastes. Every now and then I like a dry, strategic game.

Yea... Already have and love a risk clone (dominion ftw) but was lookin for a different sort of game... Played the lite, was just wondering if like one continents one is better than the other, or if this was the best.... But for the record, from what I can tell these maps are differant from each individual continent...

So... Anyone have all of them? Any certain one have better strategic points than the others?

Anyone play this one yet? How's the 100 players?

Thanks for this information. All 10 screenshots in iTunes show the World map, and I wanted to make sure that the other maps were included before I purchased it.
