Anyone play this on the iPhone? Does this game play like Eliminate? Looks like it.
So if I thought Eliminate was a complete piece of ****...crappy maps, really mediocre gameplay, and crappy unbalanced leveling system, would I probably dislike this? This and Eliminate seem pretty similar.
Are the maps actually pretty good? Or generic and boring like Eliminate? Would love to finally get a good only FPS for the iPhone/iPad.

At the moment this is head and shoulders above eliminate in every aspect.

Okay, here it is. Archetype is awesome. I deleted Eliminate off my iPod after getting the iPod Touch version. The maps (at least some of them) are great and well-designed. The gameplay is fun, and I never tire of it.

One thing you should know is that there is no real leveling. All rank upgrades are purely superficial. There's pros and cons to this- on one hand, no one can be cheap because they're at a super high level. On the other, one might say the game is boring because there are no upgrades.

If you have the iPhone version already, do you think that the HD upgrade is worth it? Pixel-doubled appears to be fine; it runs very smoothly and is still reasonably controllable. However, I'm concerned about the frame rate- most iPad games don't seem very smooth. However, Archetype runs unusually well on my 2nd gen iPod. So we'll see.
