I've been working for a while to update StickWars to take advantage of all the new software and hardware Apple has been creating, and at last StickWars 1.8.5 is ready.

It now makes full use of iOS 4, allowing you to pause and resume games mid level. In addition, you can try out the lite version (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stickwars-lite/id309528712?mt=8) and if you decide to purchase StickWars paid, you can transfer your game right over from the lite to the paid version and continue playing! Since I added this feature, I have increased the number of levels available in the lite version, giving players a longer period of time to try the game out for free.

I also added some fancy new fireball spell animations, as well as gameplay improvements to make it easier to figure out how to play.

Lastly...StickWars is now a universal binary (iPhone/iPod Touch & iPad), which means when you download StickWars you get two full apps in one! While much of the gameplay is scaled to fit the iPad screen, it is a native iPad app which means there are no black bars and it is more natural to play. It plays in whichever orientation you are holding the iPad (a common annoyance of mine when playing other games).

In addition, the latest version of OpenFeint (with included chats and forums to provide direct feedback on the game if desired) looks great on both iPads and iPhone/iPod Touches.

Please give it a run and tell me what you think. I read all of the feedback that comes my way, send a response to it, and try to use as much of it as I can in the game itself. I update the game often, which you can see for yourself in the full changelog.
