The HUD looks rather obtrusive and the handling a bit awkward.
The track also looks a bit badly designed. Is this the case for people who have played? |

The handling and the tracks, the polar opposite of your concerns. The tracks are the most entertaining and well-designed (from a fun viewpoint, certainly not a realistic one) I've come across in *any* iOS racing title. The handling is an excellent hybrid of drift and action racing, and the car collision system is unrivaled on iOS, to my mind (again, from a perspective of what I find fun and satisfying, not realistic). My favourite part of RA1977 is ramming and pushing other cars off course, and they've got the close car combat feel down just right. Last edited by Ayjona; 02-13-2011 at 07:04 PM.. |

Addendum to my above post: Race After 1977 certainly has its share of problems, but to my mind, they are not, as a general rule, to be found in the actual races, car handling, track design, physics, AI, etc.
A bit like Reckless Racing in that regard (the auxiliary mechanics and systems are rather bare-bone), but with *far* greater amount of content. So, regardless of what is added to the game, and what is not, the racing will still be hugely fun. Not to mention the future prospect of multiplayer...
