Good luck, lisi! Jump in and race those frogs! Speedy Chocolate has been my best racer. Sure, I don't win every race, but I don't lose money too often, either. I race whenever I have space in my MB.

Well, Quo, can't say I (more exactly Maroon Aurum Veru) didn't try. Even with a potion boost (when's the best time for that, BTW?), my dear froggy could only come in 2nd, & that by a hair & you know how thin frog hair's are! Kinda fearful that Speedy Chocolate will melt under the pressure. Anyway, Choc's not yet mature enough to race for he hasn't got his driver's permit yet. Not mature enough, they say.

LOL! Well, at 2nd place, you don't lose coins, so that's not so bad.

The more experienced racers will chime in, I'm sure, but I don't like to use the potion boost at all. I tried it a few times, and it seemed to make no difference; sometimes the frog still lost, sometimes he won, but I couldn't see anything change about his behavior or jumping style.

I'm 'dexing Crustalli, right now, and one of the good racers for Level 2 is Golden Caelus Crustalli, so when I got one, I tamed him and raced him. WOW! Box to wire, not another frog in sight. Seriously, it was like:

Only with frogs.

He got to join the racing stable. I'll call him GoldyBlue.

Quo, I agree that the potion boost is mostly ineffective for racing. I usually don't use it, but today I wanted to try. Usually I only use it for a frog I want to try to get right away. I tried it and it did not help my frog win the race (a Clunicula). In the past, with higher level frogs I have used a potion and won the race, but it is difficult to prove that was the reason the frog won. It seems to have much more to do with the speed/stamina of the opponent frogs and the release timing of the files. Even a frog with slightly lower speed or stamina can win on occasion if the flies come out at the right intervals!

Hmm ... I've found that, for high level frogs, the potions seems to help when given at about the halfway mark. Keep an eye on the happiness level; if your racer doesn't happen to catch a snack or two on the way, he wears out. (I haven't tried much with lower level frogs, not wanting to waste potions.)

Also, keep records of your races. I found that my very best racers weren't necessarily the ones listed as highest stats.

And if you're wanting to race, I've started some White Bruna Verus to give away. Lisianne was the original inspiration for that, but I decided to go ahead and make a set. Let me know if you're interested. (This was one of my top racers--hopefully it will be for others as well.) They'll be ready tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon/evening.
