In any event, glad you've got them, thanks for your recent gifts, and Happy New Year.
That is very impressive, Nirtew. You remember something over six months ago. I can't remember what I Did one month ago. They were being passed around between us, that I recall.

is your MB that backed up? I could not put up with the constant distractions.

Thank you Shortbus once again for the weekly set. Also thanks everyone who has gifted me recently. There are just too many to list out.

I do wish everyone a Happy and safe New Year.

Not any more. I adopted a strategy of spending a few stamps on liberating one or more frogs from my mb every time I gained some. And my 'go south, young frog' taming method does seem to yield more pond presents overall, because I'm covering more ground.

The last couple of days, there have sometimes been long periods when I have had empty slots; I've even managed to pick up a few pond presents!

Does anyone have left over frogs from the Happy 2010! set, and a ligo too? And willing to trade.

Default Happy New Year!

Beginning the New Year with "BLT" from Week 14, 2011 and "Smore" included in the lineup of past weekly sets. I do enjoy the food themed sets!

Lisianne, the Purple Passion Flower was the first gift received and accepted this year. I love it and thank you!

I made a mistake a while back in a discussion with InBoots and WackoRobbie about the past sets. With #16 showing in my weekly set, I tried to go back to set #15 by hitting the 'Get New Set' button and it didn't work. I thought it would go back to the prior set, but #16 remained. I completed #16 which was "Easter Time", redeemed and then #15 popped up. Continuing to make progress with the Past Weekly Sets thanks to the starter frogs Laurafitz4 has been sending. Also, thank you to shortbus123 for the current weekly sets!

SnappyMcFrog thank you for the Orange Cafea Veru and the Black Bruna Arbor! dlstar finished the Veru, Congratulations dlstar!, so you will be getting all of the Veru I come across in the pond...you're almost done!

Thank you to domenic15 for the many Sagitta, and andiNZ1970 for the Calyx and Arbor! Once I have the past weekly sets completed I will focus on dexing one or two breeds at a time.

Thanks also to dean288367, Quossum, jklau, dlstar, InBoots, misskatpaw, danjarus, WackoRobbie, nicksparkinson, and Bayniac for all of the gifts over the Holidays!

A final thank you to WalterCZ for the many colors of Tribus, and for making dexing the Mighty Tribus such fun!

Happy 2012 (can't believe it is 2-0-1-2!) to Everybody!

Hello! I'm new to all of this, I just started level 17, am currently working on week 50 Deep Freeze. I have been waiting for the Signum frog to appear in the frogmart.

My plus+ id is the same as my SN, I hope to learn some helpful hints from you all. Maybe even be able to help someone out with trades, all though it sounds like most of you already have everything I have.

Even spending huge sums on potions & stamps, one would still need to tame all the frogs to get the XP. Can't trade on an Android device so it's not a matter of some generous soul sending you high value frog after frog.

So, Laura (or anyone else for that matter who's into keeping track), how many hours/day would it take to get to that level under two scenarios?:

1) Purchasing no extra stamps or potions, only Babyproofing Kit & Express MB

2) Purchasing a limitless number of stamps & potions

I'm definitely a "Curious George" on this one for I don't understand how it can be done.
Lisianne,
As to your question about leveling up very fast, I think you were on the right track with needing lots of stamps/potions to level that fast, but I think it could actually be possible without buying them….. the time spent in the pond is KEY.

If one were to spend a LOT of time in the pond, not just taming each frog for the XP, but extra pond time gathering pond presents, and maturing the frogs by eating flies to cut down on maturation time, they would gain levels much faster than someone who only spends time in the pond to gift off frogs. You gain XP when you breed frogs as well as taming them, and you also gain XP for the Extra Large flies (the ones that cut 5 minutes off of the maturation time, instead of just 1 or 2).

An example of this, would be JavaRich’s friend caeleps. He/she started the game while I was around level 16 or so…. And in the time since then, he has far surpassed me in levels (I’m still 22, he’s already 28). Now, I know he is doing a bit of trading, which helps, and he’s a bit ahead of me in the lifetime frog count (12869 vs. my 9779) but the main difference in our statistics is the time spent in the pond. I tame about 85% of the frogs I breed as I gift them off, except for the low level frogs that I am ‘dexing, many of those get sold off without evening finishing maturing. So in that time taming frogs, I have received 1345 pond presents, and eaten 64474 flies. From
the stats though, I can see that Caeleps obviously spends more time pond jumping, he has gotten 4998 presents, and eaten 153255 flies! That’s 3 times as many presents as I have gotten, and over twice as many flies!

According to JavaRich, his method of starting the game was to breed high level frogs (sometimes many of the same one), and tame them in the pond to gain fast XP, while I worked on the awards and sets, and now have done some froggy-dexing…. But if he could go from 1-16 in a weeks time, and now has gotten from 16-28 in another 2 months, I guess fast leveling is very possible.
