Hi all,

I am the Developer for Gyro the Sheepdog.

There is a new version of Gyro the Sheepdog available on the AppStore, that fixes a couple of bugs that managed to slip through in the first version.

Here is the download link and the trailer: http://www.imageform.se/c/gyro/?lang=en

Hope you all like it

Game Impressions

Hmmm.... tough one!

I really love the visual presentation on this title. The little animated dog is funny and cute, the sheep are great.

The tilt controls are well calibrated. The controls superior to - for example - "Top Dog" and "Vlad" where you couldn't see what you were doing due to your finger. Thumbs up for this one.

There's funny little "complications" that arise as you're herding the sheep. A wolf occasionally leaps from the bushes. You have to quickly intercept him to ensure he doesn't take one of your sheep. A car hurtles down the road also and you'll need to quickly scare any sheep off of the road.

Trouble is though, despite the looks and design the game is a bit dull. I felt that after just a couple of games I'd seen it all. Generally though, endless high score chasers can feel a bit like this. If you're into flock management games like Vlad you may get more out of this game than I did.

Big negative for me is that there was no music. I mean there's MEANT to be music... but it didn't play. Clearly the music is meant to be the most important part of the sound package as the SFX do not hold up by themselves. A bit more effort to the audio side of this game would lift it up.

One thing I couldn't understand is that - this is a game where you're chasing a high score, but the only thing it offers is just an option to post your top score to your Facebook wall? Seems like a very odd design decision given integrating a package like Agon/Game Center/Scoreloop/OF is trivial.

Thanks for the review!

The game music bug is now fixed in version 1.1.

We'll look in to the possibility to add Game Center support in the next update.
