No. Isn't. It is cheap.

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

After they added IAP to Cooking Mama, I will probably avoid this.

May I remind you that the DS version sells for 30 bucks?
Stop being cheap.

How much is a bottle of water worth to you? Couple of bucks? What about if you're in the middle of the desert and haven't had a drink for two days? How much is a bottle of water worth now?

Context is everything. Here, we evaluate price in the context of the app store. The pricing of DS games is completely irrelevant.

At the risk of being embarrassed by fellow Mama fans, I need help with this game because I am having a lot of troubles with the control. Unlike the DS version, the touch control of the iPhone version of this game is very buggy.

Here are two particular examples:

1. In "Till the soil", there is no consistency whatsoever in the amount of dirt I can dig up and out, regardless of how precise my gestures were. In particular, I went to the extreme of trying it out using a stylus (either a Pogo or a Griffin) and a ruler to guide my gesture. Even with such a setup, I could not consistently score a perfect run. It appeared to be entirely hit and miss at random.

2. In "Squash those viruses", it is impossible to finish a run with a bonus (i.e., finishing the run in less than half of the allotted time) for the variant with the multiplying bug and spinning bug. This is because there is a certain minimum number of presses I must do to kill off all of the viruses, with each press taking a minimum time to finish. One can easily work out by calculation that even with a perfect play, the minimum amount of time needed to complete a run takes more than half of the allotted time. Thus, this mini-game is essentially unwinnable if your goal is to obtain a bonus along with a perfect scores.

I like to hear other gamers' opinions of this game. Do you find these observations to be true in your play through?
