Downloaded it, and the controls are very easy, and WAYYYY better
than those other paid apps a la Wolfenstein or Duke nukem.

From a quick view there are around 30 different enviroments.

At first seconds I recognize Duke Nuken 3D spirit... until few seconds later tons of Doom details get obvious.

EDIT: And the demo with the idevice, it's quite more cool than through a PC simulator.

It's a game using the Doom engine, perhaps a little on the cheesy side, but very playable.

I found turning on auto-use helped a lot.

Doomsday has best fps controls ive seen on iPad
