App description: Block Drop: Diamond Edition is an addicting strategy/puzzle game featuring 3D graphics and dynamically generated music. Sink all the blocks and finish on the checkered flag to complete each level. Don't land in the water!

Each level of Block Drop is dynamically created (and so is the music) so no two games will ever be the same. Become lost in the serene atmosphere as you experience 999 levels that will challenge your mind and survival levels that will test your reflexes.

The Diamond Edition includes 5 new worlds, available through in-app purchase, that take the game to a whole new level! Transportation World includes new special blocks that move you all over the place. Destruction World allows you to sink multiple blocks in a single move. Split Personality World challenges you to control multiple men to solve each level. Optical Illusion World will test your brain with mind-bending levels of illusion. And finally, there's Madness World which combines the features of all the worlds into one place. Do you think you can handle it?

So far this looks like a copy of the original Block Drop (now removed from the appstore) with in app purchases added.

So those with the old version (like me) have to re buy the game then buy the addons for new content

Seems like this is happening a lot. Let the old one go, release a new one, but this time put lots of IAP in it. It's getting to be like soap, or cereal - "new and improved"....

Really tired of this trend of obsoleting customers' bought products. Not buying this again. I am happy enough with my original Block Drop.

The iap are just taking a while since they have to go through the approval process separately. I also got confirmation from someone on twitter that the game is exactly the same.

I also noticed that the Lite version of Block Drop is still available under the original devs name instead of making a version published by mtv

In the app description is the line : "The Diamond Edition includes 5 new worlds, available through in-app purchase, that take the game to a whole new level!"

Drag....

Original Block Drop is fun though, and more than enough content for me. Not at all unhappy with the purchase. More disappointed that it got dropped / discontinued for a similar product, now with IAP.

The new modes sound fun, but I don't know if the each new world is an IAP, - putting the total price for everything at $6...

I'll be curious about impressions.
