Not sure it looks or feels any different than the iPhone version but it is still a great game.

Do the prize packs use tickets for purchase or in-app purchase?

There are a lot of prizes included. However there are four extra packs that are .99 each. New lanes, new balls and items.

How many lanes are included with the original $1.99 purchase?

and how do I change lanes after having bought one extra pack? I still only get to see the classic standard one, toyed around, but wasnt able to find a setting for changing that ... maybe someone here had more luck with that?

Should be able to go into your loot and in the custom items click what you want. It will ask if you want to use it and move the green check mark off what you are currently using. That is how changing balls works.

Sorry...to add to what I previously said, you still have to unlock the items once you buy them. So, you pay .99 for the new items, lanes and balls and they will cycle through the store. You can them buy them to use with the tickets you earn.

I like this but I can see some people not liking this set up. I think it gives the game a lot of replay.

This seems like a stupid idea to me. What you are saying is that until I have played for a few hours (and racked up a bunch of tickets) there is no point in buying any IAP.

I just purchased the game, and I would pay for additional lanes right now, but since I can't play them until I have won a couple of thousand tickets, I might as well wait. Maybe I will still want them after a few hours of play, and maybe I won't.

Its really the first time I have ever purchased a game that intentionally discouraged me from purchasing the IAP right away.

I could understand if it gave you the lanes and/or balls and still made you win the prizes, but there is literally no value in buying the IAP now.
