Sonic 4 - Price and Retina display Complaining Station

==========
Mod NOTE
==========

Please Read This Before You Post Here

Moved price, retina discussion to a new thread. I dont know about you guys but I used to visit TA forums to find out game impressions from gamers like my own self, which IMO were even more helpful than the professional reviews on all these review blogs.

It took me 30 minutes to find out these 30 odd posts (out of 200 total) which actually talked about the game instead of just whining about the lack of retina support. I have no idea how anyone else can find out any impression when the percentage of helpful posts is lower than 20%.

Please remember once again, forums are for discussing a game. Once 10 people have already posted the same thing again and again, the point's been already made. Your post will not make any difference. All it'll do is make it impossible to find anything useful in the thread for those who dont have the same concern like yours (retina/price/universal/ipad version etc). So if such situation happens again, please try not to spam here. No one is disallowing anyone to post their opinion. Just create a new thread in general discussion section if you feel like expressing your 'personal' opinion. Believe me it'll really help everyone.

Here's the new thread http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=69083
Please use that for retina, price discussion and this one for game impressions. Thanks

Game Impressions

Plays well on my iPhone 4. No speed issues, looks great (not at all blocky, don't know if it's retina or not, who cares) classic sonic action so far...

Thanks -- all the moaning about price and retina displays was depressing me.

It is NOT retina supported, i've played 8 levels so far and although its pretty it does look a bit blurry and blocky on the iphone 4 display

Do you need a game testing or reviewing? PM me!

Plunderland, absolutely amazing game!

Retinasizer works on Sonic 4, in case you *need* your retina fix.

Add com.sega.sonic4 to Retinasizer.plist, or wait for me to update it on Cydia.

That's a shame. Won't deter me from buying it though. It still looks decent.

I second this. This is information we need to know. Is there a lot of content? Is the frame rate high on all devices? Do the d-pad and accelerometer controls both work well? etc.

What is bad about the opinion of the masses?
If one says "no retina, WTF", then it's a single harmless statement.
If hundreds are mentioning this fact, then PERHAPS somebody over there at Sega is getting it.

BTW, just purchased the game.
Sonic looks pixelated (REALLY far from beautiful).
And the game feels slower and not as smooth as both emulated classics.
And: The new Sonic is really looking stupid.

So far, I was expecting a way more impressive game.
Not better than the iPhone versions of Sonic 1 and 2.

EDIT: and the most ugly thing is the Sonic in the loading screen ... really, ugly.
