Braindead 13

Haven't seen this posted anywhere yet (and I might be the only interested party) nor do I know how to create the link, but Digital Leisure is releasing the old CD-ROM game "Braindead 13" on the app store today (well, technically tomorrow, but it should show up around 11 pm EST).

It's already live in NZ for $4.19, which should translate to $2.99 here.

Playing: Space Ace, Road Blaster, So Long Oregon, Necronomicon CG, 7th Guest, Deathsmiles
Waiting for: Mad Dog McCree, 11th Hour, Necronomicon CG update!

I posted a comment in the upcoming iPhone games section the other day - I think it got zero comments. I would imagine alot of readers on the site had no idea that this even existed. For the $2.99 price tag, I'll pick this one up for sure. I remember enjoying the original back in the day.

At this price is really worth a try.
Just one question: in the first post there's a brief description of the game. What i don't quite understand if this is a sort of laser game, with a video running and some moves to make at the right time or a sort of graphic adventure since it talks about it as "fully interactive".
Thanks for info.

It's a non-laser "laser" game. Check out some gameplay vids on youtube if you want some clarification. It was basically a throwback to the old "laserdisc" style gameplay done with graphic overlays rather than straight video. Not sure if this iphone version is just going to be video, or if the graphics will be created on the fly as they were in the original.

Definitely worth a try if you're a fan of the genre. Doesn't quite have the polish of the old Bluth arcade games, but I still enjoyed it. However, if you're not a fan of the "Dragon's Lair"/"Space Ace" style of gameplay, you might want to take a pass.
