Goin Nutty: Free for a limited time!

Hi all,
I've decided to make Goin Nutty free for a limited time, to see how it affects downloads.

Enjoy

I just had a look at todays stats and found out i had 5660 downloads today! I'm thinking of leaving it free for a few more days and then flicking it back to .99c. Does anybody have any tips for me, from past experiments?
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Ooo another 2700 downloads yesterday. I'm assuming that it got featured on some price drop sites. Does anybody have any experience in this... what else could i do to keep up the downloads?

ah thanks for the heads-up.

if you don't mind, please let me know how it winds up as I am preparing to do something similar.

I posted about your game on FreeAppTracker a few minutes after you had posted that it went free, so likely you got some DLs through there as well.

Thanks headcasegames i had no idea about that site!

I'll keep you posted. Only 200 downloads yesterday. So after that 1st day of 5000 it seems to be going down in halves.

I'll leave it free for a few more days then make it 99c again. Will be interesting to see what happens then....

Cheers,
Mark

yeah, halves makes sense. if you support it with some kinda campaign beyond the price drop (doing a press release, etc) then it is generally easier to get some word-of-mouth going. it's tough no matter what, but at the end of the day, good to have more copies of your game out there!
