^!@#$ HOLY S***!!! *Face palm + jaw drop* Release it already!!!

Feature request: change/include alternate bullet design for enemy bullets (personally prefer more variety).

Your request is noted, though I must say we're strong on keeping a 'recognizable palette'. A variable appearance for something that's essentially the same is currently not really what we are going for. There are several (new) prototype bullets for enemies however. They won't replace the existing ones, but rather be an addition and behave differently. These are just prototypes though and won't be in the game for a whole while as we're focussing on some other stuff first.

We now have over 100.000 active players on te leaderboards. Thank you all for joining and we are just getting started!

A short update, the HD build is really shaping up. So much that we'll be starting our beta tests soon.

As a bonus I will give you 2 bits of information. One is actually not really new, but it wasn't spotted by you guys (as far as I understand). The dutch article from control, linked in an earlier post, actually mentions that the HD build will run on 60FPS. The current version of Phoenix, which you guys are playing, actually runs on 30FPS. This is mainly so the older devices can keep up. Hence the iPhone 2G and 3G will not be able to run the HD version, the 3GS and newer devices will all enjoy solid 60FPS action.
It doesn't sound like a big difference, but when you try it, you will never be able to go back

Another new bit is that we'll be adding a Friends list right into the App. The list will use our own Leaderboards to build a list from your Game Center Friends. This way you'll be able to keep track of your friends using our fantastic cheater-free leaderboards

No ETA yet, but we're working our asses off, so hang on just a little longer!

Will the hd version be full screen on the iPad? That's great that so many people bought it! I wouldn't have thought there are so many shmup lovers out there. Must be a lot of old school gamers out there like me.
