Animations look a little iffy, but otherwise it looks like it has a lot more depth than the regular "spam units" game.

It is not like a "spam units" game. If you try to make as many unit as you can and send them to the battle. You will be hardly win the game.

You need to save your man and send them in group for attack. ^_^

Beta Tested: 34 apps and games.

Thanks for putting ew3 thread here.
@red: i can say its not "spam units" (again ) games , you should try to combine the best formation . escpecially in extra levels or i can say Cave of Trial, you cannot just spam units

There is some strategy involved to win the game. .

I just picked this up from the $1 sale, and I have to say I'm pretty surprised at how slept on this game is in this forum.

It's similar to Crystal Wars, but instead of managing resources to spam units, units are created automatically and you have to choose when to push forward and retreat, and use your spells at the optimal time. Every turn you decide which territory to attack, and sometimes have to defend one of your territories if an enemy decides to attack it. All units and spells can be upgraded, and from what I can tell additional territories give you more mana with which to deploy more units or spells. You win the game by conquering all 16 territories, after which there's a new game plus option to continue with all units and spells leveled up. There's also 5 trial levels which appear to be pretty difficult. There are 4 or 5 (I think, can't check right now) different characters to play, all with different units.

There's more than enough game here to justify a buck, and it's probably pretty worthwhile at the regular price of $2.
