They each do their own thing. If FMN had your hornets and jellies flying around corners and breaking chains, people would comment on its vastly improved yet tastefully restrained and compatible art direction. Likewise, Silverfish excels as a well-balanced game of skill with not too much luck, something that Forget-me-not might have achieved had its designer been good enough at his game to anticipate exploits. You and Nyarla ought to consider colloborating on something in the future. Even in area of sound design, it seems there would be complementary talents.

I'm too much of a control freak

Interestingly enough, Silverfish's original design had mazes (or at least obstacles) but getting the fluid sim to follow contours was a PITA and too CPU intensive for older devices. So basically I scrapped core gameplay for eye candy But that change also transformed the game into something a bit more frantic.

First, your Twicpic is added to favourites, you do some amazing artwork, i have to confess that i first bough the game because of the art, but after very few tries i fell in love with the gameplay.

With this power ups, the game was too similar to Tilt to Live. Im glad they didnt make the cut, the game is perfect as it is now, luring the enemies into traps to refill your power and do it again, with enemies start littering the screen, and beautiful enemies by the way.

That bird stopped being angry and now its praying for its life

This is what it makes this game so good, this situation looks like trouble: enemies want you, new ones are emerging and you have to get to the powerup before the POW goes out. Can you do this? yes, and its so goddamn fun

Thanks for sharing! And i have to check out that thread you speak of.

Don't want to give too much away just yet, but ya, the panda and those other pixel characters are part of my next iPhone game. The monster sketches STYJ pointed out were part of the original concept for this game, but I had to simplify and cut it down into something more manageable.

I spent March working on an entirely different iPad-only game but got frustrated with that and decided I need to get a few quick games out to try and get a bit of cash flowing to support more ambitious projects.

BTW TheFrost: Who did you hit up to change your user name? I asked a mod to change mine to ChaoticBox months ago but never got a reply!
