Default SteamBirds HD - by Semi Secret (Canabalt Devs)

‚ STEAMBIRDS ‚
The addictive, turn-based gameplay of Flash hit SteamBirds has arrived on the App Store! Rewrite history as you fight through more than 20 missions, using bombs, missiles and poison gas to bring down 8 different steam-powered enemy aircraft. Plan your strategy, input your orders, and build up your combo to crush the enemy! Available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, SteamBirds lets you automatically share your progress between devices. SteamBirds for iOS also features new graphics, music, and touch controls from the creators of Canabalt!

‚ NOTES ‚
iPhone3GS, iPhone4, third- and fourth-generation iPods, and the iPad will feature the smoothest animations and the most special effects. The game runs fine on older devices, it just won't look quite as spectacular.

Can't wait! It is like a 2d WW2 version of Floatilla...which I would love to have on the iPad...

Only played 2 missions, but looks phenomenal, and controls are spot on. This looks to be a must have.

This looks like the crimson skies game by fasa / wizkids i used to play.
Some of the planes even look the same.
Happy day!! Oh Happy day!

Now all they need is a wh40K game on the ipad and I'm a happy boy.

I've always been a fan of the flash version, but I like this version even more; the touch interface works perfectly for bending the trajectories. I love the graphics too. Anyone that has played the Wings of War and/or Crimson Skies miniatures games will feel right at home with this title.

It appears that semi secret software are continuing with their tradition of buggy sound (remember the music bug in Canabalt that went unfixed for months?). I turned the music down and was greeted by no music AND no sound effects. No matter what I do, I can't get the sound effects to re-initialize. It's like they hired Don Knotts or their retarded brother to program all the sound in all their games.

Since the project shipped, does that mean you're out of a job then?
