Purchased it at once. Back in 1984-1985, I loved Harrier Attack.

Compared to the iPhone version of vol 1 which I also have, this has a much different control scheme, which, it seems, can't be set back to the virtual joystick used in the non-HD version. (No such setting in Settings?) If you dislike this and would definitely want an emulator with a virtual joystick, stick with the iPhone version.

Otherwise, the HD version is indeed much better on the iPad than the iPhone one.

ZX:EC HD has now been updated to include the full functionality of the iphone/ipod touch version.

The update includes:-

iDaptive Control System
Speed Boost Option
In App Purchasing
24 More games including 'Manic Miner' and some classics from Gremlin and Vortex
Landscape mode
Pixel filtering toggle

We will be releasing some more promo codes for both versions closer to XMAS so keep a lookout for them as the last lot went very quick!

Future updates in both versions to include more classic games and possibly Game Center support for some of the key games.

Matt

I have both the iPad version and the original iPhone one.

Do I need to purchase the packs on both of my devices?

Just loving Manic Miner, landscape full screen on the iPad. Brilliant.

Unfortunately for now both apps get treated as separate entities so you would have to get them twice.

We will look into this for future updates however.

The main reason the two apps are separate for now is because of the higher res artwork involved with the ipad. If we did a universal app the file size of the standard iphone version would be significantly increased due to the way the applications UI is made.

I can see why you may have both versions as you can have one on the move if you don't want to carry around your ipad with you all the time but obviously the ipad version is the most comfortable to play on and the graphics do look very sharp with the pixel filtering off.

Also, yes I loved playing Manic on the ipad in landscape too, have you tried playing it with the speed boost option turned on yet

It's like a whole new game.
