About the universal, I am sorry that I have to say we will offer another HD version for iPad 2, new iPad. As you said, the file size is too big, even it's only 157MB. We want to make the HD version to support the new iPad spec as possible as we can. That means we need lots of artworks & the file size will be much more bigger. Therefore, we divide it from the SD version. Now our artists has completed level1&level2 background in new iPad spec.

We also have the thought to let players to try the ships in a labs. But it may be hard to make them all available for one dollar. Not every developers have the luck like Angry Birds, Tiny Wings. Most app developers struggle to survive. We hope to offer a quality game and make it good enough that users would be happy to pay. About the help of proofreading the english, thanks in advance.

This morning I add some jet effects to the fighters & multiples. It looks fantasic. After I finished the task, I will post some snapshots.

I've been playing the regular version on my iPad since it dun look too bad... but having an HD version would be AWESOME

I bought my first Cave game yesterday (Bug Panic) and liked it so much, I was reading the threads about their traditional top down shooters to see which to get, and some people mentioned this gem - instabuy since it can at least curb my enthusiasm on getting an expensive cave shooter, but I didn't expect it to be that good (although one did say he prefers this one to all the Cave shooters)

Also, looks great on my ipad 2, although I'm not really sure if the Retinapad tweak from Cydia I installed is helping (too sleepy to turn it off and compare properly atm), I haven't got many iphone-only games on my ipad.

Congrats on this game, devs. I'll buy an HD version without question.

Oh yes please, an HD version needs more assets, the gameplay is already great, it needs more mechanisms (also because I finished it in the first playthrough, couldn't put it down - and later with the other 2 planes, this was the first game I was happy to see each extra plane was 0.99 so I could support the dev more, he mentioned the game wasn't doing well a few posts ago)

Nope, Retina Pad doesn't do anything to this game

I also have REtinaPad and this is one of the few games which it doesnt do anything to the graphics

The game has to be naturally retina (iphone 4 res) for it to do anything besides text, right?

I did test and you're correct, I was wondering if RetinaPad was doing anything to those games because both Bug Panic and Lightning Fighter look fine to me, and I when I saw that Bug Princess 2 Lite (which I intended to buy) looks ugly and washed out even being universal, I thought it was RetinaPad doing something, but I was told it was the fact that Bug Panic and L. Fighter were designed for iOS resolution (even if not retina) since they were designed for iPhone so they don't look bad upscaled, now BP2, even universal, was rendered at lower res from some old console so (imho) it really looks bad (while the HD Cave shooters that came from Xbox 360 look nice).

Anyway, L. Fighter was a great great find and I hope the dev gets this game to be more known... It needs to be reviewed in other websites, this game does basically everything right
