Okay just finished first mission!
The menu is fun and really well made, really star wars-y complete with a star wars arcade station. There's 3 "worlds" with 10 missions each. You can either use your room or those in the game (death star...). The game supports game center, retina display and gyroscope. The last one in particular is pretty impressive here. You can really imagine that you're luke in the turret from episode 4. You turn yourself around (if you have a chair that spin it's a blast XD) the room to blast incoming tie fighters. The surreal experience of seeing tie fighter in your own living room is quite amazing and thanks to the retina display quite beautifull! If you're a star wars fan like me this one will leave you smiling, with voices, musics, quotes from the movies and even scenes from the episodes! The cockpit also shatters itself as you take damage. You gain medals for your performance and you also have some upgrade points that you can spend to customize and increase the firepower of the falcon. It feels a bit like the old rebel assault but in a more limited way of course. If you use the non ar mode you'll not have a 360 "spin" control over the turret but you'll turn your ipod left and right (like a steering wheel) to move the turret around. It has a lot of content and upgrades. oh and don't be put out by the in app purchases, it's just a faster way to get things that you can easily unlock in game.
All in all i'm really surprised because past thq game had really been mediocre at best. Here we have a title that fully utilizes all of the 4th generation hardware but it's also a blast to play!
