Gameloft don't appear to ever do universal games. It's a shame, but it seems to be the way they work. But then, they recently had GT Racing (iPhone) at 59p and more recently (still on sale) GT racing HD (iPad) at 59p. And they had that special anniversary offer a few months back where they had a game a day free for a couple of hours spread over 10 days. If you got some of their free ones (I got all 10 ) and some of their 59p sale games, you probably "saved" enough to double-dip Star Battalion. Assuming you want it twice.

I haven't got Star Battalion yet, so if I get it I'll probably get this version.

Hmmm

I would pay 10.00 for game loft games the day they are released if they were universal. Just makes more sense to buy the itouch version and use on both devices, and wait for sales for iPad...

I don't have this yet.. But I'm going to be upgrading my touch soon, so I'll just buy that version for now

Where ever you go, there you are...

Picked it up after seeing the iphone/ipod version. Glad this finally came out since I don't see the need to purchase iphone/ipod games anymore when I have my iPad. It would be nice to see universal versions of all games but until then, the iPad will be the only device i will purchase games for.

Makes no since for me to purchase iphone/ipod when my 2nd generation ipod doesn't have the battery to play any games anymore.

Which one is better? This or Galaxy On Fire 2?

I'm wondering the same thing, too. Or, how does Galaxy on Fire compare to WarpGate? I have Warpgate, so I'm not sure I need another.

I have Warpgate too and can't set my heart to buying either Star Battalion or GoF 2. I guess I will though, eventually. Anyway, as far as Gameloft is concern I'm going to wait for iPad version in all future releases.

Squeaker, I just bought GOF2, and although I only played about five minutes of it, I can tell you its 10x better than Warpgate. Reminds me of Freelancer or something like that.
