Insta-buy! Loved this-- first Fighting Fantasy book I bought as a kid during a trip to England in the early 80s. Great memories.

Well, I "discovered" that this book was out while checking Fighting fantasy on the appstore, following a series of reflexion after having read the Tin Man Blog.
Tin Man is saying that they intend to get 10 gamebooks out next year (even if they'll probably have only 6 released in the end) and it made me think that Big Blue Bubble had a contract with wizard books for 5 ff titles and only 4 had been released.

The fact that the last two titles (hOuse of Hell and City of Thieves) were release with such discretion really makes me wonder what plans they have for the future. Firetop Mountain was probably the gamebook that allowed the genre to flourish on the appstore and I feel that the lack of communication around the follow up titles has probably led to less than stellar sales number, although they already have a very solid potential fanbase, both in 80's readers of FF books and in actual devoted fans of the genre.

I don't know how much money is Tin Man doing, but they seem to be able to survive and somehow keep on getting totally original new material out there. It seems likely that BBB would be able to do the same given that art and narratives are already at their disposal, as should be a stable game engine by now.

However, it is very strange to see that even on the official FF site, they only advertise for Creature of Havoc, though City of Thieves is already out for a month! I really hope they find a way to make this work, because I feel like we'll never see subsequent volumes of the serie, even less so the eagerly anticipated other volumes of the sorcery series.

Wow I remember having a ton of these as a kid and I definitely remember deathrap dungeon trouble is I remember flying through each of them in about 20 minutes.

So for me it's nice to see them and it's a good idea having them electonicly with the dice rolling and such but for me there's just not enough playtime involved for the price.

My bad, I was looking at my books at the same time... I meant Creature of Havoc.

I only have Deathtrap Dungeon but I really want to get this one and Creature. The dice rolling in DD is weird though...the physics seem off and the dice move with insane speed on my iPod Touch 4G.
