App description: Are you ready for the ContiTireRace?

Experience the Continental ContiWinterContactTM TS 830 - a new winter tyre for extreme racing pleasure. Learn about tyres, and the performance of the TS 830, on a challenging circuit via your iPhone.

So what are you waiting for? Get ready to race!

Your challenge is to complete three rounds of the circuit, accelerating and braking on snow, ice and the wet, in as fast a time as possible. Avoid sudden obstacles and drive the perfect racing line to collect "Speed-Ups". Use "Speed-Ups" for a short boost of acceleration to your tires which gains you valuable seconds for a good place on the high-score list.

Download the racing game free of charge - you might win one of three PlayStation 3. (entry to the competition ends 20/12/2010).
Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH is the sole sponsor of this sweepstakes. Apple is not a sponsor or responsible for this sweepstakes.

The new ContiWinterContactTM TS 830 - Designed for extreme braking manoeuvres.

>> Improved stopping on snow
A high number of blocks in the shoulder area with more gripping edges guarantee that this tire will 'cut' into snow more effectively, creating optimal grip in wintry conditions. The result: better stopping performance on snow.

>> Outstanding braking performance on icy and wet roads
A high block rigidity in the tread pattern centre coupled with a high number of sipes lead to enhanced braking performance on icy and wet roads.

>> Optimised for driving safety systems
The ContiWinterContact TS 830 is designed to work in harmony with electronic stability control (ESC) systems. ESC selectively controls a braking intervention on one wheel to stabilise the vehicle. The unique tread design ensures the braking effect of the tire and consequently the ESC effect is optimised.

Continental wishes you lots of fun!

Get ready to race...

I guess you have a chance to win a PS3 if you finish high on the leaderboards.

I downloaded it and tried it out. It's definitely lacking content overall, but fun enough for free. You have a choice of using touch or tilt controls to steer the tire, both control options are good enough. The tire moves kind of slow and sturdy, the physics feel a little stiff mainly because the tire does not wobble from side to side and cannot fall over. There are some powerups on the road to pick up to make the tire go faster. The tire has to stay on the line/middle of the road or it will slow down. There is a brake button although you will hardly use it.

I wish the dev would add some more tracks (right now only 1) and maybe add a feature where you could flick forward on the tire to apply some more speed or something like that.

Now Playing: iStunt 2, Monster Trouble, Zombie Runaway, Stylish Sprint, Grim Joggers, Holy Moly Dragons, Fight Night Champion, NBA Jam, Rat On a Skateboard, Puzzle Quest 2, Jungool, Super Stick Golf, Smoody, Gravity Guy.

You mean you wish this was a proper game with actual thought about gameplay behind it as opposed to a cheap tire advertisement?

The controls are bad bad bad. Although I could make world highscore rank #6 in ten minutes or so (btw how can "world" rank be better than "today" rank?—uh wait, it has changed in the meantime…) it's one of those controls I am hating: Once you've left the middle and got into the slow side lanes you'll have a really hard time to get back in the middle again. So tilt controls are rather bad and touch controls almost don't work at all for me.

And the highscores are unreliable. Graphics are fine maybe.

You definitely gotta be precise with your steering lol. I dig the challenge though, I think it was meant to be like this, I wouldnt call the controls bad as much as I'd call the game a challenge to be precise with guiding the tire. The physics are a bit off though, I'm not sure how much thats contributing to any problems.

Okay let's call it (like your previous posting) "good enough for free" but I've experienced much better racer controls and physics on our beloved small iDevices. Anyway the graphics are okay and it's kind of fun watching the single wheel driving.

Good luck for you maybe you'll win the PS3!
