Thanks for confirming. Once I see it in action/positive impressions, I'll be picking it up possibly...

Prett cool

Although it is lacking some of the content of the original like crafting and survival mode, you can still build just as you would in build mode. Controls are decent although I would prefer a virtual stick rather than a d-pad. Runs really smooth though and near identical to minecraft. Hope fully there will be more updates. Only way to is to see the kind of support this app gets.

nice to know. Online mode would be nice to atleast build with others. Adding a survival mode would be a blatant rip of Minecraft. I'm sick of everyone saying 'clone of minecraft' when in actuality you could say Minecraft is a clone of infiniminer, but add some new features and it becomes an original. Nothing is original anymore people. Most are innovating expansions on an already working design. But it looks cool enough. Add online multiplayer + in-game chat w/ gamecenter achievements + matchmaking (maybe) and it's 2. Thumbs up for me.

Four most influential games: Papi Jump, iDracula, Fieldrunners, Flight Control.

ok here are my impressions :

it's like minecraft one player in free (classic) mode. you don't have to craft anything, or really mine anything. you have access to all the bricks right from the start, so the the focus here seems to be building only. no survival/monsters/etc.

there is a system in place to share worlds you create. it looks like you upload your save in-game to their servers, and from there you can download other people's worlds. there is no online multiplayer.

graphic-wise looks pretty much exactly like minecraft with a near/medium draw distance. runs very smooth. control is a d-pad for movement (left thumb) and anywhere on the screen to look around (right thumb), pretty standard FPS controls. they seem to work just fine as well.

it would be nice to be able to re-arrange the controls. also if they could eventually add crafting/survival and online multiplayer it'd be perfect.

all in all, if you dig building stuff in minecraft and want to share with friends, get it, you won't be disappointed. $5 is a little much for the casual person to just check out, i would think maybe $2.99 would be fair for this title. otherwise it's minecraft, man. and that's sweet.
