Bought the iPhone version. Impressions later.

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

I really think she wants you Kyle. Anyway I found a video.

Not quite the live action/animations I was hoping for, in fact it looks like the war of the cardboard cutouts. But the gameplay could still be interesting with the RPG elements. I may try it later.

Now Playing: iStunt 2, Monster Trouble, Zombie Runaway, Stylish Sprint, Grim Joggers, Holy Moly Dragons, Fight Night Champion, NBA Jam, Rat On a Skateboard, Puzzle Quest 2, Jungool, Super Stick Golf, Smoody, Gravity Guy.

I am checking out the iPhone version right now.
But there's already an iPad version released, the thread has quite a lot of impressions.

Thanks for the thoughts on the game guys. :D

Hey guys! I'm one of the developers of HB. We really appreciate you guys for checking out our game! We've worked our tails off on it for about 9 months now and we're gonna continue to work on it. We have a new card expansion in the works that should be finished pretty soon along with some other cool stuff. If you guys have any questions or comments give me a shout and i'll get back to you as soon as i can! Peace!!

Quick question:

I see that iPhone version is 1.0.3 whereas the iPad version is 1.0.4. Any difference between then and what are they, if any?

Well, this is a nice game.

It's a trading card game, close to Magic: The Gathering and similar stuff.
I've played through the first level including the first boss right now. You have 3 types of mana cards (darkness, light and fire) which give you magic energy, your "monster" cards to summon your units and other spell cards with various effects. It seems that there are quite some cards right now.
A lot of cards also have special or unique abilities. The units are also divided in melee and ranged combat units - you'll have always to think about where to playce them best.

After the battles, which also run similar to Magic battles, you'll get money which you can spend in the shop.
At the shop, you can buy traits which give you advantages in gameplay and new spell cards (units, mana, various spells), you can also upgrade your existing cards when you've finished a level to make them more powerful. More and more cards are getting available as you raise in level.

I am having a lot of fun with it at the moment - and the devs already said in the iPad thread that they are constantly working on improvements, more levels, more new units and spells and the overall gameplay, so I think that support for this game is ensured.

Overall, I can recommend this game to all TCG or CCG fans - although it has a few little bugs when the AI is doing very strange stuff, but this only happens once in a while. But for this price it's hard to resist.

I just wonder where they got that pic of my girlfriend in the first screenshot.
